Free training for professionals

Involving Children and Young People in Recruitment

We invite all Oxfordshire County Council and Oxfordshire Childrens Trust staff to attend these free training sessions on how to involve children and young people in recruitment. We hope you can come!

A series of activities will help to equip you to train and prepare children and young people to participate meaningfully in interviewing adults. We’ll include a range of posts involving children, young people and families – from directors to youth workers. Training (with a break for shared lunch) includes:

  • understanding the recruitment process
  • equal opportunities
  • confidentiality
  • creating questions
  • practice interviewing
  • scoring candidates
  • adult observer role
  • planning and logistics

The training is delivered by staff from the Participation and Play Team.

Tuesday 17th November 2009
