Anti-Bullying Poster Competition

Congratulation to the winners of the Anti-Bullying Poster Competition.

What happened?

A big thank you to everyone who entered the Anti-Bullying Week poster competition; sponsored by the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children’s Board. Winning entries will be used to publicise our Anti-Bullying message this year.

Children, Young people and adults from the Anti-Bullying week planning group and a representative of the safeguarding board met together on 5 December to judge well over 400 entries to the competition.

3 - 11 years category

Joint 1st prize:
Caitlin Maginess
 (St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary school, Carterton) age 9
Lucy Ayres, age 11. (Lucy – you didn’t write your school/youth club on the back – please get in touch so we can award your prize.)

12 - 18 years category

1st prize: Adam Richards, age 14 from South Newington Youth club
2nd prize: Emily Hodson, age 16 from South Newington Youth club

A further group of entries were commended by the judges. 

"It was very difficult to choose winners and we would like to thank everyone for their brilliant work" said Cynthia, young judge age 10 from St Christophers School. Giti Paulin form the Anti Bullyign Strategy group added "We were extremely impressed with the high standard of the entries and it was clear that people had put a lot of thought into their posters.

What's Next? 

Jo Brown is hoping to organise a display of these and other posters and will let entrants know if their poster has been selected and where it will be displayed.
